St. Louis DigiScrap Gathering

I attended the first annual St. Louis DigiScrap Gathering last Saturday. I decided last minute that this was something I really wanted to go to and I am so glad that I did. Not only did I learn so many things that I didn't know but I also met some awesome people that could be my buddies for life!
We at lunch at the hotel restaurant and I had a pretzel sandwich and margarita (that I couldn't finish) and finished off the day pairing up with our new scrap buds. The gathering was just for the day but all the girls stayed overnight and partied. I went home to do some family time but was secretly sad that I couldn't hang with my new found friends.
Here is a layout I did for one of the lessons. I am still a beginner but I think it turned out pretty nice. I am so excited to really dive in and give this digiscrapping a try!

Spring Time

I just had to share these pictures I took of our tree and flowers in the yard. The blooming of these plants only happens this time every year. Then I have to wait a whole year to see it again. The tree blossoms with white flowers which then turn to green leaves. Right now it is white with just a little green at the top but the leaves are coming in fast. The flowers are just beautiful right now!

What a Day

Today was Shane's transitional IEP meeting at his home school (Highcroft Ridge). Eddie took off work to come with me but almost had to stay home with the kids because Paige had a fever. Thankfully, Jeanette (my SIL) went to work extra early and drove home to watch the kids so that Eddie could go. She is a blessing! Shane was approved for full day at Pierremont elementary in their language impaired kindergarten program. He will continue to get music therapy at his new school.

I did take Paige to the doctor a couple of hours ago and she does have an ear infection. How do kids have the best timing?!?

We also took a leap and ordered AT&T U-verse for our phone, internet, TV and DVR service. We'll have to say bye to Vonage, Tivo, Direct TV and Charter. We have heard nothing but great things about this service. I am very excited to get it but we have to wait a whole month for installation.

First Time to Nashville

Eddie and I drove to Nashville this weekend to visit my step sister, Ashleigh and her husband Andrew, and to have a kid free weekend. We went to several cool restaurants including a cupcake bakery and we ate ourselves into oblivion. We vegged out and watched a couple of movies and slept in until 10am. We ended the trip with a visit to Opry Mills Mall where we had a little shopping spree. It was fun!! Now, back to the real world!
