The Funniest Santa Picture You'll Ever See

My sister, Lacy, and her family came up from Boynton Beach, FL, to celebrate Thanksgiving with us. A few days before they left we decided to do a santa picture with all 4 kids. We obviously knew that it would turn out disasterous but we wanted to do it anyway since we didn't know when we could do something like this again. The line at Chesterfield Mall wasn't too long which was good. As soon as we got to Santa Paige started screaming. She wanted nothing to do with him and Dash was the same way. Shane and Ava didn't mind Santa but they did not talk to him and seemed bored to death. Anyway, here is the shot...

New Hobby of Mine

I love scrapbooking and I love being on my computer so I thought I would try my hand at digital scrapbooking. I have had Photoshop Elements for editing and organizing pictures but now I am using it to create unique pages using my creativity. It is the same thing as traditional scrapbooking but when you do it on the computer you have so many more options. The options can be a little overwhelming to me but I keep practicing everyday so I get the hang of it. I love to sit by the fire and work on my pages and not have to get out my glue and scissors!!!

First Guy-Girl Party

I belong to a wonderful mom's group that I have become very close with. We meet every month and have been doing this for the last 2 years. We have never met each other's husbands so I decided to host our first annual "Guy-Girl Cocktail Party" at my house. It was a hit! Everyone brought wine or beer and an appetizer or dessert. We had so much food! Everyone stood around the kitchen island in order to be close to the food. No one ever made it into the living room to sit down. It was a 3 hour party that turned out awesome. I do hope we make this an annual event because I know our husbands really enjoyed it to!

Anticipation for Christmas Day

My son, Shane, has become totally obsessed with presents. He kept saying "Where are the bags?" He did see Eddie bring home a bag with a toy in it even though Eddie tried to hide it. Anyway, we keep telling him that Santa will bring presents on Christmas Day which is December 25. Since he is a visual learner we got the calendar and circled the 25th and wrote presents. Everyday, we tell him what day it is and how many days are left until Christmas. Since we have done this we have not been harrassed...
